Easy Summer-To-Go Outdoor Activities

Summer is finally here, and you and your bundle of joy can finally spend more time outside doing all kind of fun activities. This will not only allow both of you to have plenty of fun, but it will also allow your child to develop new abilities and to understand better how the world works.

Since you don’t want to go to the same park every day and do the same thing for the entire summer, we prepared for you some activities ideas that you will love. Which one is your favorite?

Volunteer in a shelter

This has two things that children (yes, even the young ones) unconsciously love: animals and helping others. It is vital to teach your toddler how to deal with pets and how fun it is to play with them!

Contact your local shelter and see if you can spend a day there with your child. Who knows, maybe you will even get a new friend home!

Go to the pool

If you didn’t go to the pool by now because you think that your baby will be afraid of the water, you are about to have a big surprise! The majority of the babies are natural swimmers and they don’t feel afraid of water; this comes later on as they grow up.

Pack in your designer diaper bag a swimming diaper, sunscreen, a sun hat and some fun toys and go together to relax at the pool. Make sure you don’t let your baby out of your sight and enjoy the day!

Go camping…in your yard!

Camping is fun, but you don’t always have the time to go to a small trip and you might not have any camping place close to your home. However, “living” in a tent would be very fun and interesting for your toddler, so why not do this right in your back yard?

Get in the game as much as you can; install the tent, eat on the grass, tie a hammock close by. Your child will love it!

Make a great ball pit in your living room

To make a really interesting ball pit you will need two simple things: an inflatable pool and many plastic balls. Inflate the pool, add the plastic balls and a few surprises here and there (soft toys that can’t hurt your child) and let him jump!

This will keep your child entertained for yours, and you don’t have to worry about cleaning afterwards. Simply put the balls away and release the air from the pool!

You don’t need to visit fancy places or to spend a lot of money to have fun with your baby. Even playing together can be very entertaining, and it will help you bond and understand each other more and more!

Don’t forget: activities are always funnier when there are other children around too, so invite some of his friends to play with you!
